Sunday Sessions feat. an acoustic performance by Dos Sorella

Sunday May 28th  //  1-4pm  //  FREE  //  21+

We’ve been inviting our community into the HEMP house since April 2015 for our monthly cannabis culture event, Sunday Sessions. Each month, we host a free event where we feature local musicians or artists in performances ranging from live glass blowing to live painting, screen printing or even pumpkin carving. Sunday Sessions at HEMP invites us to check in with our community often, support those around us, and gather to share ideas both about the legal weed industry and life in general.

Featured this month: Toshina and Natasha have been playing music together for almost 20 years. They’re identical twins that were born and raised in the Northwest. Individually and together they’ve played music from folk, to blues, to contemporary, and rock.
Both of the girls play guitar and sing and along with that Tasha plays the ukulele and hand drum. They both write their own music and ran open mics for over 10 years downtown Vancouver. They’ve played shows with amazing Hawaiian musicians such as Anuhea, Mike Love and Paula Fuga. And you can catch them from time to time at open mics around town.

May 2017 Featured Artist:  Thomas Alsen

As most of you know, we feature local art in the front gallery space of our recreational and medical retail shop. We do this to highlight the natural convergence between cannabis and its cultural influence over the years, which we hope elevates your shopping experience with us.

Throughout the month of May, we are stoked to be showing the work of local Vancouver resident and artist, Thomas Alsen. Thomas is a painter and collector of 70s classic rock posters.

Originally from California, Thomas has resided in the Pacific Northwest for the past 20 years.

Cannabis inspires artists of every caliber, and we are beyond excited to have the opportunity to showcase local work by some amazing creators in our area. If you would like to be a featured artist, or are interested in learning more about our involvement in the arts community in downtown Vancouver, WA, please email: marketing@highendmarketplace.com

This year’s 4/20 House Party was a huge success…thanks to YOU.

Last month, we had an EPIC 4/20 house party and we want to thank our community for coming out to show support for High End Market Place and legal cannabis! Bleu Door Bakery for providing delicious treats, Heavenly Buds for rocking their vendor booth (and rocking their interview with KATU news!), Subliminal glass for the awesome live glass blowing entertainment, Couve Cycle for taking us on a one of a kind 4/20 party bike experience, and Garcia Birthday Band for bringing the house down with their throwback jams! And of course thank you to our HEMP manager/cannabis photographer extraordinaire NW Chronic Photography and the crew at SL FILMS for capturing these epic events! We also want to acknowledge each of our i502 cannabis partners for consistently supplying us with only the best products in the market- we wouldn’t be where we are without you! Cheers to another successful 4/20 holiday! Sunshine Farms, Fairwinds, @Greenlabs JV Ranch, Avitas Blue Roots Cannabis, X-Tracted Laboratories, SKöRD Marijuana Green Labs LLC
